There have been many actors that have played Batman over the years. These include Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, Christian Bale and now Robert Pattinson.

It all started in mid-May, the month when rumors indicating Robert Pattinson as the new Batman began to mount. A flurry of rumors spread like wildfire on all social networks, shocking fans of the newest superhero.

According to most, the choice would not appropriate as many people felt the Twilight actor wouldn’t be able to do justice to the role of Gotham’s hero. The personal trainer in charge of designing the actor’s workout and diet was Harley Pasternak.

  • Side push-ups with dumbbells
  • Double Crunch

Day 2 and 4 (interchangeable)

  • 100 barbell squats
  • 100 dumbbell shoulder presses
  • 100 sit ups

Day 3

  • Warm up jogging (10 minutes)
  • Military circuit (5 circuits)
  • Run between 1.5 and 3 kilometers (3-4 minutes)
  • Pull-ups (100 without rest) (2 minutes)
  • Maximum push-ups (200) (2 minutes)
  • Max squat with 20 kilos of sandbags (200) (2 minutes)
  • Max Push Press carrying 20 kilos of sandbags (100) (2 minutes)
  • Max sit-ups / abs carrying 20 kilos of sandbags (200) (2 minutes)

Extra Pasternak Basic Training: 3 sets of 25 for each exercise

  • Abdominals on a bicycle
  • Side push-ups with dumbbells
  • Double Crunch
  • Superman from the ground

Day 4 and 2 (interchangeable)

  • 20 burpees
  • 30 reverse sit ups
  • 40 rope jumps
  • 50 squats

Day 5

  • Warm up jogging (10 minutes)
  • Military circuit
  • Bent-Over Row (20 reps)
  • Reverse lunge with rotation (8 repetitions each leg)
  • Power Clean and Press (10 repetitions)
  • Reverse lunge with rotation (8 reps per leg)
  • Push-up with heavy bag (5 reps per arm)
  • Front Squat (10 repetitions)
  • Sit-ups with weights (15 repetitions)

Extra Pasternak Basic Training: 3 sets of 25 for each exercise

  • Abdominals on a bicycle
  • Side push-ups with dumbbells
  • Double Crunch
  • Superman from the ground
